DJ EP FAQ
What does the DJ wear?

This is our standard attire for formal, cocktail style, and dressy casual events. We adopt a more “beach resort formal” look for beach weddings or events in the sand. Our DJs are happy to accommodate any specific requests you may have for their attire.

Does the DJ also act as the MC?

Absolutely! Your DJ/MC is a seasoned professional with experience at all different types of events. He will gladly handle any necessary announcements and facilitate the flow of your event timeline.

Does the DJ take breaks?

No, breaks are not necessary. Your DJ will play music continuously for the contracted times. This also means the DJ will not eat, drink, or party with your guests while he’s doing his job—he takes it very seriously as we’re sure you do as well.

What kind of equipment do you use?

We play continuously throughout your event on a state-of-the-art commercial sound system. All of our DJs are always prepared with various forms of back up equipment and protocol. You can be sure that the sound equipment and lighting used by your DJ is professional grade and built for the application of a mobile entertainer.

Does the DJ have any lighting?

Yes! Some dancefloor lighting is included as part of our DJ service. This lighting will add some color and movement on the dancefloor for the dancing/party portion of the night.

Upgraded lighting packages are also available for an additional charge.

Can we customize the playlist?

Absolutely! Your DJ will provide and play the music according to your preferences. We encourage you to provide a “Play” as well as “Do-Not-Play” list to give your DJ a clear idea of your preferred event soundtrack.

What about set up and breakdown?

Your DJ will arrive at least 1 hour prior to the contracted start time and will play continuously until the contracted end time. If you’re getting close to the end of the event and would like to keep the party going, overtime is always an option!

“Rose and Kevin’s Sarasota wedding featured a stunning lakefront outdoor ceremony with glamorous country club reception featuring the Pantone color of the year, violet.”

“Focusing on giving their guests a great time and keep their feet on the dance floor, the couple hired Sarasota wedding DJ Grant Hemond & Associates.”

“Kevin and I really enjoy going out for dinner and drinks, dancing and enjoying one another. We wanted that same ‘good time’ vibe to transfer into our wedding and all of our guests to have a good time and really enjoy themselves!” Rose shared. “We hired Grant Hemond because all of our vendors recommended them, and they really kept the party going! We told them we wanted fun music and to keep the dance floor full, and they delivered!”

South Tampa Wedding at The Oxford Exchange

Via Marry Me Tampa Bay:

…We wanted a DJ who wasn’t too laid back and too “over the top,” someone right in the middle, who was fun! We wanted our favorite songs and artists to be played, and we wanted a great MC for the evening. Grant Hemond and Associates checked all of this off our DJ list…

Ashlee & Andrew @ Lange Farm — Carrie Wildes Photography

via {Ashlee & Andrew @ Lange Farm} — carrie wildes photography.

Ashlee & Andrew and their entire bridal party all wore cowboy boots for their chic, country wedding. The girls in lace, mint, dresses and the boys in gold vests with mint ties and jeans. Their ceremony was under the big oak tree at Lange Farm, the first row was set with church pews for their family. Each row had a little bit burlap with flowers and a horseshoe and there were crystal chandeliers hanging from the trees. It was lovely and the perfect weather!

Purple Uplighting with Gobo

Air Force couple Mindy and Dane planned their destination St. Petersburg wedding from Kansas. Since they had wedding guests from all over the U.S., the pair chose a vacation hot spot that wasn’t far from the bride’s hometown of Palm Harbor.

Mindy affectionately named her navy and orange St. Petersburg, FL wedding as a “non-traditional military wedding.”

Her groomsmen donned their military dress uniforms, while six saber bearers in uniform to saluted the bride and groom as they walked down the aisle.

“I always have “favorite” times during my weddings – and every wedding is different. Sometimes, I fall in love with the portraits – and other times with the ceremony… but at Travis and Alicia’s wedding I absolutely fell in love with their reception. Every single moment of it – from the design to the cake cutting, toasts, and their amazing dancing guests.”

Via Confetti Events:
“There is no doubt about it: Music can make or break a wedding. It’s the heart and soul of a reception and a good wedding DJ will be able to read the room, have everyone up and dancing and, ultimately ensure everyone has a great time. We talked to Grant Hemond and Associates to find out a little more about them and how they will make your reception one to remember!”
