Sparkler fountains, or "Cold Sparks" as they are often called, are a great way to create a memorable moment at your wedding or event. While it is perfectly safe to use this special effect indoors, it should only be done by a trained and certified technician. We are proud to offer this service legally and in accordance with local regulations.
Sparkler fountains provide a powerful effect during your first kiss, first dance, grand entrance and grand exit.*
Along with "wowing" your guests in the moment, sparkler fountains provide a dramatic effect to enhance your wedding photos and videos.
Timing the sparkler fountains to music will create an immersive experience.
For example, we typically suggest firing the Sparkler Fountains during each chorus of your first dance.
* Each “firing sequence" is billed separately, please see our FAQ below or contact us for more details.

Absolutely! If proper precautions are taken and regulations are followed, the Sparkler Fountains are perfectly safe. Many people in the wedding and events business have jumped on the “cold sparks” trend assuming that they are 100% safe and pose zero risk. However, this is only true when the sparkler machines are made by a reputable manufacturer and are operated by a trained professional.
Yes. However, we prefer to call them “Sparkler Fountains”. We feel that the term “Cold Sparks” creates a false sense of security within our industry and the events business. We liken the use of sparkler machines to driving a car: reasonably safe and low risk but only when driven by someone who is licensed, insured, and experienced.
Our Sparkler Fountains are made in the USA by the leading manufacturer in the field, Sparktacular FX Machines. Unfortunately, poorly manufactured sparkler machines (“knock-offs”) have proliferated the events industry by those who have little to no consideration regarding safety or liability. Even if operated by a trained professional, “knock-off” machines pose a significant risk to safety that we are not willing to assume. We clean/service our machines regularly, which is absolutely essential to their safe operation.
A “firing sequence” refers to a block of time during which the Sparkler Fountains will typically fire multiple times. Each of the following bullet points is considered a single “firing sequence”, each ✨ represents a firing:
Each firing sequence is billed separately.
When proper precautions are taken, Sparkler Fountains are perfectly safe to use just about anywhere. Every event venue has different considerations so it’s important to check with your venue contact regarding the use of Sparkler Fountains. Modern fire suppression systems use a number of different detection methods including light sensors and particle sensors. Depending on your event venue, these systems may need to be temporarily bypassed while the effect is used during your event.
No. The DJ will be dedicated to his/her responsibilities regarding music and announcements. The Sparkler Fountains will be facilitated by a separate special effects operator. All of our operators have been through an extensive training program and have on the job experience.
The regulation of Sparkler Fountains falls to what is known as the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). In any given city, the Fire Marshal is most likely to be the AHJ. As we currently understand it, events taking place within the city of Tampa, Sarasota, and Orlando are required to obtain a permit and fire watch for the operation of Sparkler Fountains. Our office staff will assist in obtaining a permit for your event if necessary.
Our office will be closed beginning Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday, and Thursday due to hurricane Milton. We hope to resume our normal office hours on Friday but the effects of the storm will dictate that.
If you have an event scheduled with us in the coming week, please communicate directly with your assigned DJ regarding any changes, postponement, or cancellation. Unless you indicate otherwise, our DJs are fully prepared to perform at their scheduled events this weekend.
We wish you and your loved ones well and look forward to celebrating when the storm has passed!
